What we collect
- Your floor plan. The image or PDF you upload, and what you tell us about it: the outline you trace, the rooms you confirm, the direction of north, and whether it is a flat, villa, plot or commercial space.
- Your account. The name, email address or phone number that comes from signing in with Google, Facebook or a one-time code. We never see or store a password.
- Your agreement to our terms. Which version of the terms of service you accepted, and when, so we can show what you agreed to.
- Your readings. The reports produced from your plans, so you can open them again.
- Payment records. That a payment happened, for what, and when. Card and bank details are handled by the payment gateway and do not reach us.
What we remove before anything else happens
Photographs carry hidden metadata, and a phone may write the GPS coordinates of where a picture was taken into the file. When you upload a plan, the image is decoded and re-encoded before it is sent for analysis. This removes location data, camera details and other embedded tags.
Who else processes your plan
Two services help read the drawing. They receive the image after its metadata is removed, and only to return their result:
- Roboflow finds the shape of each room.
- Google Cloud Vision reads room labels printed on the plan.
We also use Supabase for sign-in and storage, a text-message provider to send one-time sign-in codes to your phone, and a payment gateway for payments. We do not use your plan to train a model, and we do not sell it, rent it, or share it for advertising.
Analytics and cookies
We use Google Analytics on this website and in the app to understand how they are used: which pages are visited, how people arrive, the type of device and browser, and an approximate location worked out from the connection. It sets cookies in your browser to tell one visit from the next.
Google Analytics does not receive your floor plans, your readings, or your name, email address or phone number. We use it only to improve the service, not for advertising.
You can block these cookies in your browser settings, or install Google's opt-out add-on. The service works the same without them.
How long we keep it
Your plans and readings stay until you delete them or close your account. Deleting a reading removes it and its plan. Closing your account removes everything except records of payments that we are required to retain for tax and accounting.
Your rights
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or erased, and withdraw consent. Write to privacy@vastuvidhi.com and we will respond.
If you are not satisfied with how we have handled a request, our grievance officer can be reached at grievance@vastuvidhi.com.
Children
This service is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we will say so here and update the date at the top.
